Peak of the Blueberry Season at the Farm

This will be an extra busy week at the berry farm. We are at the peak of our blueberry season, so this is the time for all of you to start stocking up your freezers for the summer and the year ahead.

The farm store and markets will again have blueberries and Sweet Lady blackberries this week.  The early blackberries are always some of my favorites and are especially good for jams and pies.

The Ruby Boysens are completely booked for this week and we will not be taking new orders at this time for the farm or for the Kaiser Hospital Market.  It is possible there will be some at the farm late this week, but I can not take orders or guarantees this week.  I will give an update on Ruby Boysen availability next Monday, June 17th. Thanks for your patience.

All orders for blueberries in flats and gallon bags, and flats of blackberries for the Kaiser Hospital Market must be placed by 6:00pm on Tuesday.

Our phone lines are again acting up. Our farm road is in a dead zone. It is always better to email me or come to the farm with your questions.

Blackberries – starting on Monday at 3:00 pm

(Both of these berries can be limited.)

The blackberry crop is extra sweet this year, and we have a much better crop of Ruby Boysenberries, too. Both of these berries sell out quickly, and we can not guarantee the supply on any given day at the store. We appreciate your kind understanding. Please feel free to email me if you have questions.

We will again be at the Kaiser Hospital Market this week.  All reservations for berries at this market must be made by 6:00 pm this Tuesday. There is a limit of two flats of blackberries or boysenberries (when available) that can be reserved per person per week. Blueberries can be ordered by the flat or gallon bag and have no limit.

We now have a great selection of jams at the farm store, and should have blueberry honey very soon.

Dear Farm Friends,
We hope you all had a wonderful year. We are excited to announce that we will be opening our farm store on Tuesday, May 21nd at 9:00am. The recent weather has delayed our crops, but we are finally ready to start picking our sweet first blueberries of the year.

All of our prices will remain the same, and we will again have gallon bags of blueberries for your convenience.  We hope to start picking fresh blackberries and Ruby Ruby boysenberries in early June. Watch for updates.

We will also be at the Kaiser Hospital Market in Fresno this Wednesday rom 8:00am – 1:30 PM. Reservations for berries for that market must be made by this Tuesday at 6:00 PM. You can reserve either whole flats or gallons of blueberries for that market.

We look forward to seeing all of you soon! Please feel free to email me with any questions. We are hoping to also have our farm store phone working soon @ 559-897-4605 during business

Season 2018 Has Started

Dear Farm Friends,
The farm store is now open for the berry season. We currently have fresh, sweet blueberries that are picked daily.

We look forward to having fresh blackberries and Ruby boysens sometime in June. We are thankful that it looks like we have a good crop of both of these this year! Watch your emails for updates on those berries.

Starting next week, we will have a large selection of jams and jellies, and local honey at the farm. We are excited to work with Daren Hess of Kingsburg Honey this year to give you a great selection of his wonderful local honey.

We also will be at Kaiser Hospital’s Farmer’s Market starting next Wednesday from 8:00-1:30. Berries for that market can be ordered by email before 6:00pm on Tuesdays.

We apologize that there is no phone service at the farm at this time. We are working on it! Please feel free to email me any questions or requests you may have for now.

We look forward to seeing all of you again this year!

Cold Storage Berries at Farmers Markets

I wanted to let you know that even though our farm store is closed for the season, there are blueberries from our farm still available at several farmers’ markets in the area.  We have placed a generous amount in cold storage, and they will be available at the following locations for the next three weeks, mid to late July:

Visalia Farmers’ Market
Saturdays from 8:00-11:30
On the corner of Mooney and Caldwell
Sears Parking Lot

Visalia Farmers’ Market
Thursday evenings down town
Thursdays from 5:00-8:00 pm
Church Street off of Main

Kaiser Hospital Market in Fresno
Wednesdays from 8:00am-1:30pm
Fresno Street, just north of Herndon

Be sure to look for my friend, Denise Hernandez, and the Berry Lady banner on her table.  She also has an amazing selection of organic seasonal fruit that is fresh from her family’s farm.

Because our farm store is closed for the season, we are not able to accept email or phone orders for the above markets at this time. Denise will make sure she has a large supply available at each location.

Have a wonderful summer!
